The farm was acquired by the Piatti family in 1834 as part of the Loosdorf estate. The agriculture was a typical estate management with changing focal points, such as arable farming, animal husbandry and plant breeding.
In 1982, Alfons Piatti converted the entire farm to organic and dynamic farming.
Since then, agriculture and forestry have been carried out on around 600 hectares according to biodynamic guidelines. A herd of around 60 cattle is also part of the farm and provides dung compost as fertiliser for the crops.
