DEMETER
"Suum cuique" - To each his own
In DEMETER agriculture, each "building block" - cosmos, people, animals, plants, earth, etc. - is allowed to develop according to its destiny. Each one contributes its own and is therefore valuable.
"Suum cuique" - To each his own
In DEMETER agriculture, each "building block" - cosmos, people, animals, plants, earth, etc. - is allowed to develop according to its destiny. Each one contributes its own and is therefore valuable.
DEMETER raises ruminant animals that serve as the engine for a closed-loop economy, with cattle playing an essential role as the link between the earth (digestive system) and the cosmos (upward-pointing horns).
The circular economy is as follows:
Ruminants eat mainly roughage (straw/hay/grass/clover) and manure is produced in the form of dung.
The cultivation of roughage brings diversity and fertilises the soil with natural nitrogen.
The combination of ruminants - fodder production - manure creates permanent humus in the soil as a habitat for a balanced and diverse edaphon (soil life).
The Edaphon, in turn, is a guarantee for erosion protection.
DEMETER also includes the cosmic processes in his considerations.
The role of the sun as our central star is evident.
Without it there would be no life on earth, without its light no photosynthesis, without photosynthesis no oxygen and no plants, without plants no animals and no humans.
But also the moon, the planets and the deposited zodiac signs play a role - even if not so prominent - for life on earth.
Above all, by taking into account the position of the moon in front of the zodiac signs when growing and caring for the cultures, improvements can be achieved in terms of storage time, ingredients and taste, among other things.
Plant materials (blossoms/leaves/barks) are buried in the ground in animal shells (e.g. horns) or suspended and exposed to the seasons.
Through the mutual influence of cosmos, earth, plant and animal, a process of transformation occurs and the preparations are created.
These are applied to the field in spring to positively influence the soil, root, plant growth and quality.
There are different preparations, but all have a harmonising effect.
