"The Tragedy of Loosdorf Castle" - Opening at the OKURA Museum of Art (Tokyo)

On November 4, 2020, the exhibition "The Tragedy of Loosdorf Castle" opened at the OKURA Museum of Art in Tokyo.

It displays large parts of the Piatti family's unique collection of shards. The shard collection comes from a historical porcelain collection that was almost completely destroyed by the Russian occupying forces during the Second World War.

The collection was analyzed on site in Loosdorf by a research team from Gakshuin University in Tokyo and confirmed as Japanese cultural property.

Parts of the shard collection were restored in Japan and are now on display together with the shards.
